DELEGATE
THE NOISE.

Move the busywork to agents and operators. Keep the work only you can do.

By Piernicola De Maria.

The thesis.

Most founders run their companies by hand. The work that does not need them is still on their desk: the email that should never reach them, the report that should already be ready, the decision that has been sitting in a thread for nine days. This is the noise. It crowds out the work only the founder can do.

The first book on this subject was published in 2015, in Italian, with a title that translated as “If only they would let me work.” The thesis was that the founder is the bottleneck. The thesis stands. What has changed is the answer.

In 2015, the answer was a better team. In 2026, the answer is a quiet workforce of people and agents, set up by the founder, paid for by the founder, and accountable to the founder. Delegate The Noise is the system for designing that workforce, and for keeping the founder out of its way once it runs.

The vocabulary.

THE NOISE

The work that does not need the founder. Most of the founder's week, in most companies.

THE SIGNAL

The work that only the founder can do. The decisions, the relationships, the few moves that compound.

OPERATORS

The people the founder hands the noise to. Existing team, fractional hires, agencies.

AGENTS

The non-human members of the workforce. Models, automations, scripts, schedulers, anything that can hold a piece of the noise without a heartbeat.
